Call for Artists: My
Cities, Your IdentitiesInternational video-art, photography,
installation and performing art festival

International ArtExpo is selecting all
interesting photo works, video/short films, installations and performing
art works to include in the next 2014
exhibitions:
My Cities, Your Identities,
international art festival of photography, video art, installation and
performing art, will be held at BigCi – Bilpin international
ground for Creative initiatives artist residency at Wollemi
National Park, Australia, from the 18th to the
24th of July
2014.
The opening day will be Saturday 19th July
2014.
Among all the selected artists for the exhibition, will also be
selected the winner of an art residency stay in BigCi, from
the 14th to the 27th of July
2014.
My Cities, Your Identities explores the
parallel relationship between cities’ transformations and
identities’ evolution: modern metropolis are often the result of
the compound of different cities and cultures, as it is for contemporary
identities. During this borderless time we have the possibility to live
and experience a constant hybridization among cities, bodies, societies,
cultures and new technologies, which shapes and regenerates our
individualities. Our whole being evolves as well as contemporary cultures
and modern cities
do.
The event is open to photography, video art, installation and
performing
art.

BigCi is an independent, artist run, not for
profit micro artist residency program with a focus on supporting serious
artists by facilitating their projects. Being “micro” means that it is
flexible in the range of creative initiatives that interest them, personal
in the way they work with individual artists, quick in making decisions,
energetic in development and implementation of projects, open to
multicultural and multidisciplinary collaborations. BigCi provides a
ground for the professional development of artists from various fields,
such as the Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Literature, Music, Photography,
Film, and Hybrid Arts. Painters, sculptors, multimedia artists,
performance artists, writers, musicians, filmmakers and other creative
souls are invited to apply for the residency. In addition to the artist
residency program, BigCi is available for a variety of events,
performances, workshops, installations and
exhibitions.
To take part in the selection, send your artworks’ submissions with
a CV/biography, videography and some still images (for video-art),

The number of works you can submit is unlimited. The
participation in the International Art Festival requires an entry fee only
for selected artworks. Participation open to: artists, architects and
designers, associate groups and
studios.
International ArtExpo is an art organization that
provides a significant forum for cultural dialogue between all artists
from different cultures and countries. ArtExpo is grateful to all of the
institutions, corporations, and individuals who support our artistic
projects. We work with a number of national and international galleries as
well as publishers, museums, curators and critics from all over the world.
We help artists through solo and group exhibitions, gallery
representation, magazine reviews and advertisements, press releases,
internet promotion, as well as various curatorial
projects.
