It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of our much loved international troubadour Steve Foster (Fozzie)
The world is a sadder place without his smile, and especially his laugh, sense of humour, his passion fighting for the rights of others, but above all his carefully crafted songs and melodies, always delivered with his signature style and beautiful voice.

You may have been entertained by him in the Catacombs on Hackney, the
Cellar blues club or seen Steve open performing with bands like The
Twilights, The Loved Ones or The Byrds. Maybe you read articles in
Go-Set about INKASE, Resurrection or Black Watch. Did you see him at
Myponga 71' as part of Black Fire? You might have a copy of Steve's
album, 'Coming Home in a jar'. Steve devoted his life to music and his
home, South Australia.
Today we remember Stephen Foster, who was
also an Australia Day Ambassador for the Australia Day Council. Steve
passed away overnight after his cancer returned earlier this month.
Amongst
his many achievements was his song 'Forever Blue' recorded by Little
River Band in 1986, which became a huge international hit
retrospectively, peaking in several top 10's and remaining in the charts
for over 12 weeks in Europe.
The SA Music Hall Of Fame expresses it's deepest condolences to Steve's family, friends and fans.
