TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Raden Mas Haryo Heroe Syswanto Ns. Soerio Soebagio, better known as Sys NS, was born on 18th July 1956 and died on 23rd January 2018 at the Pondok Indah Hospital, Jakarta.
Shanty Widhiyanti, the wife of Sys NS, broke the news through a short message circulated online.
"Our beloved husband RMH Heroe Syswanto NS (Sys NS) have passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Funeral Home: Jl. Kemang Timur Raya. IIAPCO Complex 16. South Jakarta - 12730, Please pray for him," stated the message.
Sys NS was buried at the Jeruk Purut Cemetery, at Kemang area, Jakarta.
Throughout his life, Sys NS was a radio personality, an actor, and also a politician.
After the death of Ratno Timoer, an Indonesian Director and Producer, in 1998, Sys NS became the head of the Indonesian Film Performers' Association (PARFI).
The following year Sys NS became active in politics, being elected as a member of the People's Consultative Assembly. In 2001, he helped found the Democratic Party.
