This demonstration performed during the first edition of the European Judo Championship that took place on the 5th and 6th of December 1951 at the Vélodrome d'Hivers in Paris in front of more than 10,000 spectators. Demonstrators include Kawaishi Mikonosuke and Shozo Awazu, the pioneers of French Judo, Mochizuki Minoru, founder of the Yoseikan Budo, and André Nocquet, the first foreign uchi deshi of O Sensei Morihei Ueshiba. This is probably the first ever demonstration of Aikido in Occident.
