Vidwan Mahadevappa passes away

Violinist Vidwan S. Mahadevappa died at a private hospital in Mysuru on Monday. A resident of Kuvempunagar here, Mahadevappa was 87. He leaves behind his wife Kamalamma and his violinist sons — Mysuru M. Nagaraj and Mysuru M. Manjunath. Vidwan Mahadevappa, who had been honoured with the State Sangeeth Vidwan award by the State government, had also served as a professor at the Fine Arts College of University of Mysore for more than 25 years.
