Teenage boy falls from Ferris wheel at Arizona fair

The 14-year-old was hospitalized after falling between 15 and 30 feet from the ride at the El Mirage Fall Festival, authorities said. His injuries are reportedly non-life-threatening.

Witnesses told KNXV that the boy was in the second chair from the top of the Ferris wheel when he fell.

The teen was air-lifted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

An Arizona teen’s Ferris wheel ride took a turn for the worse Saturday night when he fell from his seat near the top of the attraction.
Authorities said the 14-year-old fell between 15 to 30 feet during the final day of the El Mirage Fall Festival and was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after the tumble.
He was reportedly standing in the second seat from the top of Ferris wheel,according to KNXV.
The teen was said to be conscious when he was air-lifted to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
El Mirage police Sgt. Robert Peoples said the teen remained in the hospital Sunday.
Authorities are still investigating what caused the fall, Peoples said.
